In my local barony, 2 years ago almost today, a choir was begun, headed by a most marvelous musician, Baroness Isadora (SCA title). Our choir began to practice and come together over the beauty of medieval and renaissance sounds. We determined that year that we would like to enter an Arts and Science competition. Because I did not yet read any music at all I felt the need to contribute as much as I could and volunteered to research and write the documentation that would go with the song. Our first competition was wonderful and we received a first place. Because this was my first music focused research paper I was nervous and turned to some awesome editors. I would be remiss if I did not mention the editing powers of Ellowyn and Sibd, two outstanding members of the choir. Their contributions in making my words clear and meaningful are to this day appreciated! Below you will find the research that accompanied "O Magnum Mysterium, " by Victoria.
